Great For Beginners!I'm very into fitness so I've owned my share of fitness videos. I've never found a Yoga video that I cared for until now.

This one features very easy-to-follow instructions with modifications for those who are more or less flexible than average. The instructor speaks calmly and isn't annoying - one of my primary complaints about other instructional fitness videos. It's great for me, and even my two year old joins in the fun. I'd recommend this DVD to anyone who is interested in learning the basics of Yoga. My Favorite Yoga WorkoutI have used this Yoga workout for years. I had to replace my old VHS tape with an updated version. This workout is basic and challenges my muscles but doesn't frustrate my skill level.

The basic moves make a complete workout, and my body feels better while my stress level decreases. Yoga is and should be a private and personal adventure for a person. That is cartoons and funny guys didn't have a place in people doing Yoga exercises. Musing about this, I was checking out the VHS tapes for movies at Meijers and saw some tapes on Yoga. Basic Yoga Workout For Dummies was in the VHS group on Yoga. I took it home and put in the VHS tapes cabinet to play it later.

The next morning I got up shoved the the Yoga For Dummies tape in the VCR. Nothing happened. I wiggled a few wires.

Still nothing.I took the V CR into the repair shop and found the unit was blown. The TV ran for a year before it was blown. When we went shopping for a new TV, we came home with a Panasonic TV/DVD Combo. It won't play the VHS tapes, including Basic Yoga Workout For Dummies. I ran back to Meijers's to pick up a DVD Yoga For Dummies.No such luck.

What they did have was Yoga Weight-Loss Workout For Dummies on DVD. I didn't know who Chris Freytag was but if she was an instructor for Time Life she had to be good.No I didn't need to loss weight. I am 4 foot 11 inches and wigh 130 pounds, Just right for my height. Yoga exercises like the mountain, cat, downward facing dog, triangle, tree and Warrior 1,2 and 3 can also help you with tension or stress, sleeplessness, headaches, and backaches as well as weight control. I enjoyed the funny guy as an animated character on the Yoga For Dummies series. The Funny Guy slows down the yoga workout. He point out tip on what you may do wrong on a exercise.

The guy shows you how to go in and out of a stretch safely. I enjoyed using Chris Freytag's You For Dummies so much. I was ready to buy Sara Ivanhoe's 2 set: Basic Yoga For Dummies and Beyond Basic Yoga Workout For Dummies and a Meditation set witch I found. Sara Ivanhoe is lower keyed than Chris Freytag but explores more area in Yoga like meditation.Sara teaches you how to monitor your performance to know when to go on to the next level. I really am more relaxed and enjoy using these 3 DVD Yoga For Dummies for my yoga exercises.
