This book describes how the way of thinking had been changed since 60's years. In order to explain the changes, JV used two characters which are different from each other: an idealism french woman and Anibal Quevedo a respect mexican psychoanalyst. She has a lot of energy and deep desire to change the unfair world so she ended up believing in socialism, communism, warfare movements. She is in a constant motion, moving from city to another, knowing people and sometimes falling in love with a weird guys. On other hand, Anibal Quevedo, which represents the cold mind needed to explain the past years.

In a beginning when Anibal was a young he believed on idealism too, but he realized that this path is going to nowhere and he ends up being the person he criticized when he was young. At the end of the history, both characters met in circumstances that overwhelms them: she is a defeated woman without identity and she realized that the time has past and she has nothing to offer to her child. In contrast, Anibal reached fortune because he was caught by government corruption so finally he took a final decision about his life (you imagine!!!)Fin de la locura could be read as a end of a way of think. Madness is mostly identified as 60's idealism which ends after human kind realized that the world can not be so fear as we had been thinking.

Fin
