As a child I always hated liver.until a friend of the family made her receipe.Love it ever since!!!Liver, & Onions & Apples.Use Granny Smiths to keep them from getting to mushy!! The apples take away some of the childhood liver flavor.Basically I Slice up the onions and braise them.until clear.then add the liver and apples.Liver doesn't take long and neither do the apples.Cover a bit until the liver is cooked.

I use only calves liver.:DBy the way. Never use the pan 'leavings' to make gravy. If there are any toxins in the meat. They are concentrated in the leavings. I cheat, if I want gravy, and keep a couple of jars of store-bought handy.By the way. I only get to cook it when the 'girls' are out an about.
